The wetlands  

The wetlands were thought to be deserted but they were wrong.In fact the wetlands are an important part of the ecosystem.Finding a deserted wetland is like trying to herd cats But the mud is a pile of slime.The water splashed and danced with liveliness.The mud sucked at my boots and I hated it.I feared I would trip up and fall on the spiky mangrove trees below.When we hit the forest the trees were tall towers.Then we realized it was flooding.High tide was coming.We ran for our life and we escaped the tide.When we got to the car we smelled as bad as a port-a-potty and looked like a hippo that just took a mud bath.
